Oakville Hydro Receives Award of Excellence for Employee Safety

(Oakville, ON) November 24, 2021 – Oakville Hydro has been recognized with a President’s Award of Excellence for employee safety in distribution, awarded by the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA). The President’s Award recognizes electricity service providers that have achieved the top ranking in total recordable injury frequency (TRIF) amongst their peers of comparable size in generation, transmission or distribution operations.

Oakville Hydro’s award is under the occupational health and safety President’s Awards distribution group III (under 300 employees). The CEA’s President’s Award of Excellence is Oakville Hydro’s latest health and safety accolade, previously having been awarded four President’s Awards by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association, as well as the inaugural David Ellis Award from MySafeWork. Oakville Hydro has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Safest Employers.
